It’s a pleasure to meet you. I am William Chin, a forth-year medical student studying in Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia. I initially started this blog as a partial fulfillment of my curriculum module about Health System and Disaster Management System. On 26 Oct and 5 Nov 2010, the Mt. Merapi, which is 26km away from my universities, exploded. This has taken away 300 lives and caused huge damage on property. 400,000 people were evacuated. Such disastrous incident has made me think. I recalled my purpose to be a doctor. To help others. YES, I have choose a pathway that is dedicated to save lives of others. When such opportunity presents, I determined to commit myself. Thus I launched a campaign and donation drive to help the victims of the Merapi Eruption. I would be most glad if you can help me to spread the words.
